What did we do?

Ooven's idea just resonated with our ideals as this required the entire team to be challenged to provide a unique solution. So the app needed to the basics of a food delivery app but also provide the ability to manage daily food items or food items pre-planned by the user over a period of time & the ability to show curated menus for the entire week.

This required a dynamic backend system to be created that managed zones, and in these zones restaurants & offices were managed locally. This has to be one of the most thought-provoking projects we have done at Switch.

Observe

Observe the restaurant market & delivery trends.

Objective

The UI had to be image driven & feel crisp in it's design yet be driven by purpose.

Delineate

A proper charted course for quick designing & development.

Survey

In depth survey & application/backend testing to attain optimal quality.

Largescale Operations

Ooven required a largescale platform to be built & required constant back & forth communications with multiple restaurants, zones & offices. We had to come up with a structure for hierarchical overflow of the backend & how the stream of data would flow. This also required calculations for server loads & database management for the constant flow of the data between customers, delivery partners, restaurant circles, zone managers & offices.

Design for the Customers

Since the application required the users to be on the platform for a decent amount of time on daily basis. It required the customer the ability to schedule & customise their daily lunch based on the given menu for the week. So the UX had to have the ability to either order daily or pre-plan your entire week's lunches, at the same time make it easier to change your pre-planned meals.
